The finger pointing to the moon is not the moon itself. How often we end up holding the finger to be sacred!

Another interesting thing is that many masters point to the moon with different fingers and from different positions and places in the planet. So, whilst the fingers and the directions they point to may be different, they are all pointing to the moon!
